Virtual Reality has arrived, or has it? We think it has. Some nice people from Red Bull dropped into the office one day with an Oculus Rift for us to play with, but no actual person seems to have their own headset yet, so we’re not sure the Oculus Rift thing wasn’t some kind of set up.
Now 360 degree filming is here and sport is an ideal showcase for the technology. It is surprisingly affordable to record and produce 360 degree content and we’ve seen initial forays into production from the likes of Visit Wales, O2 and of course it’s a perfect medium to show extreme sports in all their glory.
If you’re on a laptop, don’t even bother clicking on these links, get your phone out and make sure to spin around a couple of times.
